Randy B. Cronic, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Randy B. Cronic received his undergraduate degree from North Georgia College & State University and earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his Family Practice residency and served as Chief Resident at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and the American Academy of Family Medicine, Dr. Cronic ’ s prior practice experience has been in family, preventive and sports medicine. For eight years he practiced family medicine with Gwinnett Physicians Group where he also served as the Medical Director. Since 1994, Dr. Cronic has been the team physician for the National Football League (NFL) Atlanta Falcons. He is on the Medical Advisory Board of the Living Heart Foundation, a non-profit organization that offers cardiovascular screening to athletes. Dr. Cronic also works with the Sports Medicine Department at Georgia State University taking care of the medical needs of their athletes.
Dr. Cronic ’ s goals are to promote wellness by combining the latest technology and his medical experience into assessing individual risk, detecting disease and early intervention. From experience with his own family practice, and from interactions with many experts in preventive medicine, Dr. Cronic has learned that while most physicians prefer to practice medicine, they tend to spend their time treating diseases that are already well advanced. This is mainly due to the fact that health insurance companies reimburse based on diagnosis and treatment of symptoms, rather than predictive evaluations that can detect pre-symptomatic diseases.
